There are countless webinar tools on the market so it’s important to understand how each one stacks up. In this WebinarJam review, you’ll get an in-depth rundown of what the platform is and what makes it unique among similar options.

What is WebinarJam
Founded in 2013 by veteran internet marketers which included Andy Jenkins. When it was released, it took the industry by storm because, at the time, webinar software was expensive, bulky, and unreliable. It arrived on the market as an easy-to-use and affordable solution and has remained true to that.
Keep in mind that we may receive commissions when you click our links and make purchases. However, this does not impact our comparisons and recommendations. We try our best to keep things fair and balanced, in order to help you make the best choice for you.
Today, it powers 30,000 small and medium businesses, is one of the most robust webinar solutions on the market, and consistently delivers cutting edge solutions. It’s a powerful tool for brands across a wide range of industries.

Key Features
WebinarJam has all the features you’d expect in a webinar platform and then some. Of course, it has the ability to host webinars for up to 5,000 people. In addition to the core webinar function, you’re able to stream live in HD, connect other social media platforms like Facebook Live and YouTube, and chat with your attendees.
You can take the attendee engagement even further with a feature known as attendee spotlight which lets someone come on stage with you. If that’s not your thing, you can also work with another presenter.
Here are some of the things WebinarJam brings to the table.
- Support for multiple languages
- Inject videos into your live presentations
- Doesn’t require any software downloads to work
- Automatic recordings that mimic everything just as it happened live
- Multiple ways to schedule a webinar such as an always live room, series, specific date, etc.
- Use polls and surveys to understand your audience and tweak your presentation
- Share files for attendees while the presentation is going on so they can follow along or even as a registration bonus
- Use a whiteboard to annotate images or anything else on the screen and further boost your attendee engagement
- Separate control center for you or a team member to moderate comments, add offers, mute participants, and more.
Email marketing
A webinar can’t be effective if people show up. Unless they’re registering right when the presentation is starting, many people will forget about it or get sidetracked. That’s why email marketing is so important in launching a successful webinar.
WebinarJam has a simple email marketing automation workflow within the software. You can create pre and post-event email sequences based on the time of the event. For example, you can send a message out as soon as someone registers, a day before the event, fifteen minutes until the event, and so on.
In addition to email marketing automation, you can also handle your SMS marketing from the platform. Text people a quick webinar reminder a few minutes before the event and you’re almost guaranteed to boost attendance.
Engagement analytics
There’s no point in running a webinar if you can’t track how it’s performing. What’s your landing page conversion rate? What percentage of registrants are showing up? How much is each registrant worth to your business? And so on and so forth.
WebinarJam provides the most important metrics so you’re able to tweak and optimize every part of your webinar funnel. You can confidently run paid campaigns and understand whether you’re breaking even, losing money, or wildly profitable. You can also see where people are dropping off and change that part of your presentation to improve your results.
Single-click registration
The tool has a feature that allows your subscribers to sign up for your webinar with a single click. Simply include the special link from your WebinarJam dashboard, paste it in an email, and the rest is taken care of for you. It works with all the major email marketing tools out there so you can be confident you’ll be able to take advantage of this feature.
Present offers within the webinar
Offers are the most important part of the event. After all, why did you spend all that time creating a value-packed presentation if you weren’t, in some way, going to be rewarded for it?
Some webinar platforms only allow you to show the URL on screen but WebinarJam makes it possible to dynamically insert an offer at the perfect time. All your attendees have to do is click on it and they’ll be taken to the landing page or checkout page you specify. If they end up purchasing, you’ll get sales notifications in real-time.
With this simple feature, you can boost your conversions and, in some cases, turn an otherwise unprofitable webinar into one that grows your business.
Landing page builder
The platform comes with multiple pre-built landing pages that have been shown to convert in the past. Just select the one you like, add your images, dates, copy, etc. and you’re ready to start converting visitors into registrants.
The problem I have with the landing pages is that they’re not too customizable and they’re due for an overhaul. Luckily, many other landing page platforms integrate with WebinarJam so you’ll be able to get the best of both worlds.
Instantly reset the room
The platform has a feature known as the “panic button.” Webinars are resource-intensive and if your computer isn’t up to the task or something goes wrong, everything will freeze. The panic button allows you to instantly reset the room and pick up where you left off so technical problems won’t derail your entire presentation.
Add-ons and integrations
WebinarJam integrates with the major email marketing services and CRMs. Once you’ve connected them, it has a simple “if-then” rule engine that makes tagging and routing contacts a breeze.
For example, you may set up two rules such as IF registered for a Webinar THEN add to webinar list. If didn’t attend webinar THEN add tag no show.
That’s a simple example but illustrates how easy it can be to set up robust trigger and targeting options within your email marketing service. Notable integrations include:
- ActiveCampaign
- Kartra (also developed by the same team)
- Zapier
- GetResponse
- Infusionsoft/Keap
- Mailchimp
- AWeber
- Drip
- Many more
Ease of use
If you’ve never used a piece of webinar software then it’ll be a relatively steep learning curve for you. That’s because there are so many customization options that need to be taken care of and it has its own quirks to contend with.
For example, when I was using the scheduling features for the first time, it took me a bit of getting used to. Luckily, there’s a setup wizard that takes you step-by-step through how to use it. When you get started with the tool, I suggest you first go through and set up a test webinar.
Try out all the features, settings, and customization to familiarize yourself with the software. When it’s time to make a real webinar, you’ll be able to move faster. In a nutshell, if you have prior experience with webinar software then you’ll be at home but if it’s your first time, it’ll take some getting used to.
WebinarJam Pricing
WebinarJam pricing is divided into three tiers based on the number of attendees you wish to host and the length of your event. Even if you have fewer expected attendees but long events, you’ll need to upgrade to a larger plan to accommodate that. The maximum time a webinar can run is 4 hours.
WebinarJam pricing breakdown
Basic – The basic plan allows for unlimited webinars, up to 500 attendees, and costs $41.53/m billed annually at $499.
Professional – the professional plan comes with up to 4 presenters at once, 2,000 simultaneous attendees, 3 hours duration for webinars, and also adds the panic button feature. It costs $58.25/m and is billed annually at $699.
Enterprise – the enterprise plan adds 2 more presenters, can support up to 5,000 attendees, and has a max duration of 4 hours per webinar. This is also the only plan with the control center. It costs $83.25/m and is billed annually at $999.
All plans come with a $1 free trial to get acquainted with the solution before you purchase an annual plan.
Note: The control center was previously available to some extent on all plans but it seems a recent update to their pricing changed that focus.
When compared to other webinar platforms, it’s extremely cheap. The highest tier is in line with the lowest tiers on other platforms but it has similar and in many cases more beneficial features. If the price is a major concern then WebinarJam is the perfect tool.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Lower price point so it’s accessible to potential customers with a tight budget
- Large integration ecosystem that makes it possible to send lead data to the right place and even build entire sales funnels
- Built-in page creator that lets you get an optimized landing page out the door in minutes
- Built-in email and SMS marketing to engage with users before and directly after the webinar
- You can present offers from within the presentation and improve your conversion rates
Cons
- Customization of landing pages is limited to a few options
- You may experience a lag between what’s your saying and showing live and what you’re attendees are seeing on the screen
Help & support
WebinarJam offers support to its users in two ways. First, you can email the support team and they’ll respond within a business day or so. Unfortunately, if you have a pressing problem, there’s no live chat or phone option so you’ll have to deal with it alone.
It also has a basic knowledge base and many tutorial videos that’ll walk you through the process of setting up your first webinar and integrating with many of the third-party tools out there. Altogether, the support team is well-informed but the knowledge base is severely lacking so you’ll have to figure most things out using the tutorial videos.
How to make the most of WebinarJam
Like with other webinar platforms, it’s a resource-intensive application even though it’s being used in the browser. The first thing you need to do is close all other nonessential software you have running on your computer. This includes background programs.
The second and most impactful thing you can do to make the most of WebinarJam is to prepare yourself for success. That means researching the nuances of holding a webinar, creating and testing your presentation, and getting familiar with the
tool.
If you can do that then you’ll have a pleasant experience with the tool and see an ROI within a few days of signing up for it.
WebinarJam review verdict
There’s no denying the fact that WebinarJam is a robust webinar platform that does everything you need from this type of software and more. It’s an inexpensive solution when compared to other vendors on the market but you do have to pay for an annual plan.
It has very few issues and is always being worked on to improve speed and reliability for its tens of thousands of users. When it comes to features, it has almost everything you could ask for in a live webinar tool. There’s email marketing, chat, Q&A, polls, and so much more.
The only drawback is the lack of real-time support. If something pops up during a presentation then you have to handle it on your own. It’s by no means a deal-breaker and just requires you to prepare more beforehand. This, in many ways, is a good thing.
Taken together, WebinarJam gets a buy recommendation from us with 4.5 out of 5 stars.
