There are countless email marketing tools that promise the world and more. GetResponse goes a step further than most by actually trying to deliver on those promises. It combines email marketing, landing pages, popups, webinars, Facebook Ads, and more (you can read our full GetResponse review here).
Unfortunately, it can be overwhelming for many people or just not the right fit. That’s why we have GetResponse alternatives. In this guide, I’ll dive deep into the GetResponse competitors that focus on the core aspect – email marketing – and the add-ons like landing pages and webinars.
By the end of this guide, you’ll have a better understanding of whether you should get the all-in-one tool, GetResponse, or one of the alternatives available.
Keep in mind that we may receive commissions when you click our links and make purchases. However, this does not impact our comparisons and recommendations. We try our best to keep things fair and balanced, in order to help you make the best choice for you.

GetResponse alternatives for email marketing
Before GetResponse had landing pages, webinars, eCommerce storefronts, etc. It was an email marketing tool that specialized in autoresponders. It has since grown to an email marketing automation platform but it remembers its roots. The GetResponse alternatives below are just as powerful if not more powerful than GetResponse.
ActiveCampaign
I won’t mince words here. ActiveCampaign is one of my favorite email marketing services for many reasons. It’s a pioneer in areas such as email marketing automation and is inexpensive to get started.
When we have a project that’s producing income, this is the email marketing service we switch to in order to push things into hyper-growth mode. You’re able to manage subscribers using lists and tags and create emails with conditional content based on those tags or lists.
When you dig into what ActiveCampaign can do, it can get overwhelming for beginners. The good news is that the basic features are easy to use. True to its roots, ActiveCampaign has pioneered a new marketing category it calls customer experience automation. In a nutshell, it uses machine learning and AI to help you segment, nurture, and eventually convert prospects.
Key features:
- Email marketing automation
- Landing page builder
- Large number of email newsletter templates
- Built-in CRM
- Website live chat
- Contact collection forms
- Personalization in emails
- Conditional content
- Tagging and scoring
- Email split testing
Cons:
- There are tons of features so it can be daunting for inexperienced users
- The application itself is often slow
Moosend
Moosend is an upstart in the email marketing world but that doesn’t take away from what the company is building. It’s focused on snatching the crown as an all-in-one email marketing tool from players like GetResponse and Mailchimp. That goal is still far away but it’s a solid tool nonetheless.
It combines many features like landing pages, a form builder, website tracking, and more. The automation tools are simple and effective for getting email subscribers to the next stage. Its analytics are insightful and the email marketing templates will ensure you always look professional.
Key features
- A large number of newsletter templates
- Email marketing automation
- Landing page builder
- Opt-in form builder
- Templates to build email automations
- Split testing email
- Ability to segment contacts
- Website visitor tracking
Drip
I hesitate to put Drip on this list because, in the past, it has done things I don’t agree with. With that being said, it’s still a solid tool for email marketing. It focuses on the eCommerce segment so has deep integrations with popular eCommerce tools like Shopify, BigCommerce, and Volusion.
It prides itself on multi-channel marketing and has strong segmentation and automation features that are best used by eCommerce brands. Cart abandonment becomes more effective and the behavioral segmentation makes it dead simple to show relevant products to people.
Key features
- Robust email marketing automation features
- Can send SMS messages from the platform
- Deep integrations with Facebook allow you to create dynamic audiences
- Segmentation tools
- Ability to personalize emails based on behavior like purchase history
- Opt-in form builder
- Integrations with popular eCommerce tools which allows you to pull in customer data
Cons
- The forms don’t have many design choices
- It has a steeper learning curve than many email marketing tools
ConvertKit
ConvertKit is an email marketing platform that was built out in the open. The founder, Nathan Barry, used direct sales to grow the business to nearly a million dollars a month. ConvertKit is geared towards creating email software for creators and bloggers.
It uses tags to organize contacts, provides a simple landing page builder, and even lets users create opt-in forms. The interface is simple and designed for a non-technical crowd. The email automations are easy to understand but can do a lot for you – especially if you’re selling information products.
One thing I like about the software is that it has a lot of training for its users. There’s an entire academy to help you learn the ins and outs of the platform and successfully use it to make money.
Key features
- Simple interface designed for creators
- Form builder
- Landing page builder
- Email marketing automation
- Multiple email templates to choose from
- Robust email personalization
- Solid number of integrations with third-party tools
Cons
- The entry-level plan is more expensive than similar email marketing services
- Landing pages and forms are lacking in customization features
Getresponse alternatives for landing pages
GetResponse has a landing page builder that comes with multiple templates, allows you to A/B test, a drag-and-drop editor, is mobile-friendly, and even supports selling products directly from the platform. It’s ideal if you don’t need granular customization options. If you do, the dedicated landing page builders are a better option.
Unbounce
Unbounce is one of the most popular and versatile landing page builders in the world right now (and one of the most mature). It has many standout features but one of my favorites is the artificial intelligence it has incorporated into the tool called Smart Traffic.
It runs A/B tests more efficiently and, on average, people see a 20% larger conversion boost than manual testing. If AI isn’t your thing then you can use multivariate testing and simple A/B testing on your landing pages as well.
It also has a global CDN, sticky bars, popups, and over 100 templates. The drag-and-drop editor is simple to master and you’re even able to track conversions off-page. Its pricing is also unique. Instead of a base price, you’re charged based on the conversions you’re able to generate from your landing pages.
Key features
- A large number of templates for multiple industries
- AI to enhance A/B testing
- Many integrations with third-party tools
- Pages optimized for speed
- Pixel-perfect drag-and-drop editor
- Popup forms
- Sticky bars
- A/B and multivariate testing
- AMP pages
Cons
- The form builder still lacks many features
Leadpages
Leadpages is another landing page builder that’s been around for a while. It’s leaning towards helping creators and service-based businesses get beautiful pages online. You’re able to do A/B testing, access a large library of free and paid templates, and use something called LeadMeter to optimize pages.
It doesn’t have pixel-perfect editing control. Rather, the drag-and-drop builder allows you to add elements into sections and move them around within those sections. This helps ensure your designs look good but is a bit annoying for advanced users.
Leadpages has grown beyond a simple landing page builder and is now a website builder. You get the best of both worlds as long as you don’t need advanced site features. It even supports a Stripe integration so you can sell digital products right from your account.
Key features
- Large number of landing page templates
- Drag-and-drop editor
- A/B testing tools
- Can collect payments right from the builder
- Facebook Ads integration
- Complete website builder
- Create and fulfill products from Leadpages
Cons
- It doesn’t give you down-to-the-pixel design control
Instapage
Instapage has come a long way since its humble origins as a $5/m landing page builder. It has now moved into the enterprise space and is the most expensive tool on this list. I’d say it’s worth it if you’re not price sensitive.
It has multivariate testing, A/B testing, a large library of templates, lightning-fast templates, one of the best page editors I’ve ever seen, and a feature known as AdMap. AdMap allows you to connect your ads to the best landing page for the job and monitor its relevance based on performance.
It’s one of the few landing page builders that has team collaboration features to accelerate page building process. The large integration library rounds out its feature set.
Key features
- Team collaboration features
- A/B and multivariate testing
- Large integration ecosystem
- Track visitors with heat maps
- A large number of templates to jump-start the creation process
- AdMap and Thor Render Engine (for speed)
- Strong personalization tools
- Plans don’t come with obvious usage limits
Cons
- It’s more expensive than most other page builders
GetResponse alternatives for webinars
GetResponse is unique amongst email marketing tools because it also allows you to host webinars directly from the platform. The built-in webinar platform comes with live and on-demand presentations, holds up to 1,000 attendees, and stores recorded webinars for you. It’s a solid basic solution but the dedicated webinar platforms offer much more.
WebinarJam
WebinarJam is one of the most popular webinar tools in the world and it’s focused on delivering conversion-optimized features for marketers. It supports huge webinar rooms of up to 5,000 people, allows you to track sales conversions, and show offers within the presentation itself.
WebinarJam comes with landing pages, integrations with email marketing services and ad platforms, multiple scheduling options, mobile streaming, a basic email & SMS platform, and so much more.
For what it offers, WebinarJam may be the cheapest tool of its kind on the market. Part of the reason why it’s able to accomplish this is that it only allows customers to register for yearly plans.
Key features
- Supports thousands of attendees
- Live chat, Q&A, Polls
- Email marketing is done from the platform
- SMS marketing within the platform
- Basic landing page builder
- Share files with attendees
- Inject offers into a presentation
- Share videos within the presentation
- Can support multiple presenters
Cons
- Landing pages look dated
- There’s occasionally lag between video and audio
Demio
Demio is a new kid on the block but it has made solid strides when it comes to its software. The interface is a joy to use, it has solid marketing features, and allows you to create multiple types of webinars. These include on-demand, live, and faux live webinars.
It supports multiple presenters, the attendees don’t need to download additional software, and you’re able to brand your content. It has a basic landing page builder but you may be better off using your own landing pages because of the limited design capabilities.
It has live chat, email marketing, polls, the ability to insert CTA, and multiple integrations extend its functionality.
Key features
- Attendees don’t need to download software
- Live, automated, and hybrid webinars are available
- Use chats and polls to communicate with your audience
- Registration forms support custom fields
- Basic landing page builder
- Useful analytics for webinar performance like attendees, watch time, sales, etc.
- Basic email marketing tool s
Cons
- The webinar rooms are limited to 500 attendees even on the highest plan
Easywebinar
This webinar platform is incredibly versatile and was built with multiple industries in mind. Some people may say that’s a drawback but I think it’s a clear advantage. You’re able to use a high-performing template and turn it into an automated webinar. This allows you to scale your webinar marketing strategy to the moon.
Live webinars, automated webinars, live chat, webinar storage space, multiple presenters, social media streaming, offer injection, and analytics are just a few of the features that Easywebinar brings to the table.
Key features
- You can do polls and live chat
- Handles live and automated webinars
- Can connect to and stream on multiple social platforms at once
- Send out emails from the platform
- Registration form can be embedded on other websites
- Simple analytics
Cons
- Doesn’t host videos for automated webinars
Conclusion
The GetResponse alternatives here are mostly point solutions when compared to GetResponse’s ability to do so many things. It’s up to you to decide if you want an all-in-one package that usually gets the job done or a focused tool that
