Follow and unfollow strategy, as the name suggests, it’s when you can automate your Instagram account to follow and unfollow other accounts in order to get your account out there.

A lot of these tools also have additional functions such as scheduling posts or hashtag generation, to help you with other aspects of growth.

So let’s dive in and see the best Instagram bots to help automate your follower growth.

1. Ingramer

Let’s start off with one of our most popular reviewed tool on our Growth Boost blog. As an Instagram automation tool, the software packs all you need to start growing your account, from a follow and unfollow bot to a scheduling tool, so your whole Instagram strategy can run on ad hoc.

Ingramer has two benefits that let it stand above a lot of its other botting competitors. The first one is that it’s relatively affordable with modular pricing options, so you only pay for what you want. The second is its ability to direct message people (a slightly more black hat strategy) but can produce positive results when used correctly and sparingly.

With a majority of positive reviews at over a 4-star rating on review sites, I can say now that there’s a reason that Ingramer is such a popular tool for Growth Boost readers.

Key features

  • Automated follow and unfollow
  • Automated likes
  • Automated direct messaging
  • Schedule posts

Cons

The only cons really for Ingramer is its price is not the cheapest out of the other tools on this list. However, when you’re running a botting software, do you really want to skimp on price?

Pricing

Ingramer’s main follow and unfollow service starts at $37 for 2 weeks, but the price drops when you subscribe for longer periods, at $57 for 1 month and $144 for 3 months.

2. Instazood

Instazood is another follow and unfollow tool, also quite popular and has a wide range of functions similar to Ingramer. This tool definitely has it’s pros and cons, with an affordable price with modular payment options, but unfortunately is held back by quite a few negative reviews online.

What makes Instazood unique is the fact that is has Tik Tok automation built in, so with the recent rise in Tik Tok’s popularity, it makes sense to grow your followers on that platform too (in fact, you might even see a stronger growth since it’s still not yet saturated like Instagram - but that’s a debate for another post).

Key features

  • Automated follow and unfollow
  • Automated likes
  • Automated direct messaging
  • Instagram search tools
  • Comments tracking
  • Scheduling posts
  • Tik Tok automation build in.

Cons

  • Low review rating at 1.8 / 5 on Trust Pilot

Pricing

Instazood is quite affordable, at just $11.99 a month for its main features.

3. Kicksta

Kicksta is a simple Instagram tool compared to the rest on this list, with just a single function: follow and unfollow. It’s definitely aimed at those who don’t want to get overwhelmed by the massive amounts of tools and functions the other bots can do. Even Kicksta’s checkout feature is more simple and straightforward.

Key features

  • Follow and unfollow
  • Simple UX overall, from onboarding to actually using the app
  • Video onboarding feature

Cons

  • Not as robust as the other tools on this list
  • Expected a higher review rating when it focuses on a simple UX, but only has a 3.1 rating on TrustPilot.

Pricing

Kicksta is not the cheapest on this list, at $49 a month for its standard plan, and $99 a month for its premium plan, where you get more support and ‘faster growth’.

4. Instamber

Instamber is a relatively newly released tool compared to the others on the list, but is not short of features. With the Instagram growth tools that you’d expect, it also has Tik Tok tools too, so as I explained before on Instazood’s review, if you’re looking to grow on Tik Tok too, then this is another option.

Instamber also has a function of buying likes and extra views, which is not a strategy that I’d recommend, but if that floats your boat, then you have that ability built in.

Key features

  • Instagram follow and unfollow
  • Buy likes and comments
  • Instagram DM
  • Instagram comment management
  • Schedule posts

Cons

  • Has a low review score on Trust Pilot at 2 out of 5.

Pricing

Instamber is quite affordable at only $10 a month for it’s follow and unfollow features.

social captain

Social Captain is a platform boasting over 8000 active users and promises a smarter growth strategy, by offering a more customised botting experience. They claim to utilise AI in their program to produce 150x better than manual interaction (but I wonder how it is compared to other follow and unfollow bots). They also offer a 24 hr free trial, so you can get a feel of the results when the bot is running for a day.

Key features

  • Smarter follow and unfollow bot
  • Custom targeting for the accounts to interact with
  • 24hr free trial

Cons

  • Only a 1.8 score on Trust Pilot

Pricing

Social Captain offers a free trail and it’s paid plans start at $39 a month.

6. Upleap

Upleap is an Instagram botting tool that works as you’d expect. What makes Upleap's different is they offer an account manager dedicated to every customer, so if support enquiries ever come up, there’s someone to help out right away.

This is a massive difference to the other competitors out there, where you won't have someone dedicated and enquires can turn from a simple fix to being pushing around the customer service pinball machine. If you value customer service, Upleap is definitely a platform to go for.

Key features

  • Instagram follow and unfollow
  • Dedicated account manager
  • Simple set up
  • Can view Instagram stories

Cons

  • Lack of additional features
  • More expensive than other tools offering the same functionality

Pricing

Upleap’s price starts at $39 a month for its follow and unfollow bot.

7. Combin

Combin is an  Instagram tool that also helps you grow your audience. It has three core products: growth, post scheduling and account audits. What makes Combin stand out is the additional account auditing function, which comes in handy if you want to do any sort of instagram influencer strategy to further your growth.

Key features

  • Custom targeting for follow and unfollow bot
  • Scheduling posts
  • Instagram account audit
  • Free 7 day trial

Cons

  • Only a 2.9 score on Capterra

Pricing

Combin gives users the option for a 7 day free trial and starts at $15 a month afterwards.

What is an Instagram Bot?

An Instagram bot is a tool used to automate your follower’s growth on Instagram. It mainly consists of a follow and unfollow function, to help automatically follow and interact with targeted accounts so your own account can reach people outside of your own followers.

Most tools discussed above include additional functions to further your growth and make your life just a little easier, with tools such as hashtag generators or scheduling posts functions, so you can save a bit of time.

Tips to succeed in growing your Instagram account

I strongly believe that if you want to build anything substantial and sustainable in life, you need to put in the work. Sure, there’s always small tricks you can implement to speed up your journey, but all in all, it takes time and effort to get there.

This holds true for building up and Instagram account too.

A follow and unfollow bot can bring wonders to your account, but only if you also do the hard work alongside it. By that, I mean by creating unique and interesting content for your followers. If you can do that, and pair it with an automation bot, you can fast track your road to building an influential account.

Final Thoughts

To wrap it up, I strongly believe in choosing a trustworthy bot to run your automation on. Based on this criteria, Ingramer has both the strongest rating out of all the options discussed today, paired with a modular payment option so you only pay for the functions you need, and an affordable pricing option.
